Sadly, I am no longer a Stampin' Up! demonstrator. Due to work schedules and now a deployment, I was not able to maintain my status as a demonstrator. I still love SU! products, and if you are looking for demonstrator, I can refer you to some awesome people, just email me at: mscchick13@yahoo.com.

It will most likely be a long while before I can get crafty again, but as soon as I am able to, I'll start posting again. Here's a little view into my world right now:

Scrappy Mojo

Well, as you can tell, I haven't posted anything in a long while. Between the long hours at work and trying to focus on my family when I'm not at work, my scrappy mojo is gone. I'm also feeling pretty limited, which bums me out. I love, love, love, SU!, as you can tell by my demonstrator-ship, but I can't mix and mingle my crafty items if I want to show them off. It has to be ALL SU! products (this is their policy). I am hoping that by getting this off my chest, I can feel better about it and move on and find the mojo that I so desperately want to find! : ) If you've struggled with this, please let me know what you've done in the past to overcome it. I usually just let myself 'take a break' from crafting and eventually it comes back to me. What do you do?

SU! My Digital Studio project

I finally purchased My Digital Studio! Here is a hybrid project I created. It is a 5 3/4" x 8 3/4" chipboard journal. I created the background using MDS (Night and Day DSP - retired, Perfect Plum cardstock) and then added ribbon and embellishments. Supplies used are journal, sticky pages, Filigree Designer Brads, 1 1/4" Striped Grosgrain Ribbon (Basic Black), 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon (Elegant Eggplant, Whisper White), and 5/8" Grosgrain Ribbon (Basic Black - retired). Enjoy!

I am loving the new SU! colors!

I am absolutely loving the new SU! colors. The new color coach is so easy to use that my 10 year old can use it. Here are a couple of projects I've made with the new colors and paper. The first project is a magnetic bookmark. I used the Totally Tess Clear Mount stamp set, Cherry Cobbler, Basic Black, and Whisper White papers, Cherry Cobbler, Marina Mist, Pumpkin Pie, and Wild Wasabi Stampin' Write markers to color in the stamps. The second is a card made for someone who is moving and heading to a new job. I used the Sincere Salutations Wood Mount stamp set, Round Tab paper punch, Papers and inks used are Daffodil Delight, Basic Black, Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White, and Marina Mist. Hope you enjoy looking at them!

Father's Day Challenge - Hope my Dad doesn't peek!

This is my Father's Day project for MyPinkStamper's Father's Day Challenge. It was really fun to make. It was the first time I've done a folding book made from three 12x12 pages. All products used are SU! I used the Sweet Pea DSP, all other papers, ink, markers, and ribbon are in Taken with Teal, Chocolate Chip, Old Olive, Very Vanilla, and Pumpkin Pie. Stamps used are Well Scripted, All Holidays, Wings of Friendship, and Vintage Labels. I used various paper punches, the Hodgepodge Hardware kit, Star brads, Circle Brads, and Rhinstone brads. I also used my BigShot with the TopNote Die and the Curly Label Die (Magnetic Movers and Shapers). I made a coordinating card to go with it. The pictures are in order - the closed book and card, the first page, the middle page, and then the last page. Hope you all like it!

Mother's Day Gifts and Card

It's Mother's Day! Here are the chipboard albums and cards I made for my Mom and Mother-In-Law. Everything was done using SU! (c) products. I used the Razzleberry Lemonade Designer Series Paper, 2009-2010 In-Colors Cardstock, Ink, Markers, and Ribbon. I also used Hemp Twine, Pumpkin Pie Ribbon, Whisper White Cardstock and Ribbon, and Garden Green Cardstock. Stamp sets used were Vintage Labels, Messages for Mom and Flight of the Butterfly. Punches used were Butterfly, Large Oval, Scallop Oval, Scallop Circle, 1 3/8" Circle, Scallop Trim Border, Curly Label and Small Heart. I used Sticky Pages to adhere the paper to the chipboard. I also made matching cards. The only elements that differ from everything used above is the Scallop Edge punch, Designer Buttons - Playground (I used the More Mustard colored Flower). Enjoy!

I have been busy crafting again! Yay! I made these cards and am so excited to share them with you all. I have been playing with all my new SU! goodies. The first card is for my brand new nephew, the second for a very nice, sweet lady at work, and the third was my Granny's birthday card. If you have any questions, please email me!

Birthday Gift for our Niece

Here is a gift I made for our niece. I love making stuff for her. She is such a cool kid. : ) I used SU! Melon Mambo classic ink, Basic Black classic ink, Neutrals markers (Basic Black and Basic Grey), In-Color Marker (Melon Mambo), Large Star punch, A Little Somethin' stamp set, and Extreme Elements stamp set. I used my die-cutting machine for the letters. The frame was purchased at a local retail store.

Christmas Ornaments

I got this idea from someone on the Cricut mb last year. She did such a beautiful job. I had to try it out this year and I have to say, I love how they turned out! They are really simple to make. You just cut paper into strips, wrap around a pencil and pop the paper into the ornament. You repeat this until you are satisfied with the look. Then, tie ribbon to the top of the ornament and wahlah! You have a homemade ornament. I did quickly realize that double sided paper looks a lot better than single sided paper. : ) Hope you enjoy.

Christmas Treat Bag Toppers

I had so much fun making the Halloween treat bags that I decided to make some for Christmas, too. I used the SU! Top Note die, SU! ornament punch, SU! Signo White Gel Pen, some SU! ribbon and some various other ribbon. Hope you like them. I can't wait to put all the goodies into the bags and hand these out. Christmas can't get here fast enough! : )

Bathroom Project

I actually did this project a few months ago, but just realized I haven't posted it yet. I used my die-cutting machine and made the walls, toilet, and trash can match the shower curtain and towels we purchased for the kiddos' bathroom. Now when we go in there, we see spots!! lol.

Christmas Cards

Here is a card set I made for my Dad as a birthday present. He is a professional photographer and he wanted some cards to send out to a few of his clients. I had fun designing and making these cards. I used Garden Green, Real Red, and Whisper White papers. I used 4 different SU! stamp sets to bring it all together - Heartfelt Thanks, Berry Christmas, Puns from the Past, and Sincere Salutations. I also used one non-SU! sentiment stamp for the inside sentiment.

The first picture is the outside of the card. It says 'wishing you picture perfect Holiday Greetings'. The second picture is the inside. There is a spot to put business cards at the top half of the inside and a sentiment on the bottom half of the inside.

Flat Stanley Adventure

Our family had the honor of hosting Flat Stanley in our home. Since he came to New Mexico, we dressed him up like an Indian (there are many tribes around here) and made his shirt match the NM state flag. We had a lot of fun with him and will be sending him back to our niece, soon, along with pictures of all our adventures. : )

Well, I survived End of Fiscal Year at work. : ) Here's to another great year... I really am loving my job. :) I am looking forward to taking some time off soon so I can start crafting again. There just aren't enough hours in the day. lol. We thought when we moved we would have time to relax and I thought I would have more time to craft. Not!! There is something to do here just about every weekend and work keeps me pretty busy. Can't wait for the snow to start falling so we can learn how to ski. : ) Like the post says -- this is totally random stuff. hahaha.

No new projects to share, but thought I'd update my blog today. My project for today is to organize all my stamp sets and make a binder with the images of the ones I have. I think I may have to sell a few of the sets that I've had for over two years that have never been touched. It's so hard to let them go, but sometimes the reality is that I'm just not going to use them. :( lol. Hope you all have a wonderful week ahead of you!

I love doing shadowboxes!! It is so much fun! I'm not sure which of these is my favorite. I love them all for different reasons. I'm not an artist, but I do feel as though I am somewhat creative, but doing these projects makes me feel like an artist. Figuring out the layout of everything, the embellishments to use... I know it's the same thing as a scrapbook page, but I guess since these are hung on the wall for all to see it feels more like an art project than a craft project. lol.
